"Why is Obama getting so little help from this boobie-prize of taking down Osama? Why such a short-lived and inconsequential bump? Why so little lift?"

The problem is with this ill-advised bandying-about of this clumsy word, “gutsy.”

Just noodle that over in your noggin for a little while, casually, and you’ll see how bad this sounds. Obama made a decision, and the decision, in intent and in outcome, was beneficial to the interests of the country over which Obama presides. It is the first decision He’s made in office that fulfills these criteria. I’ll state it again: The intent, and the outcome, were in harmony with what is good for the country. In the Obama universe, that is “gutsy.” -- House of Eratosthenes

Your Say

"Gutsy," in this case,as everyone has caught on,is another Harry Reid-style patronizing racist liberal code word, along the same lines as "well-spoken."

My guess is that Obama thought the SEALS would fail proving that 'Gunboat diplomacy' is a fail.

He is/was chagrined. Now he deals with the Left, the Muzzies overseas, and the Right. Spiking the petard was what was left.

Gutsy, doing something that any other president would have done in the same circmstances. Even Jimma gave the GO order to invade Iran.

Obama, after exhausting all other options did the right thing. It's was an accident, it won't happen again.

What was gutsy wasn't that Obama made a decision anyone else would make. What was gutsy was that he made a decision at all.
