What will Egypt finally look like?

It will look like the Latin American banana republics, but without the bananas.

That is not meant in jest: few people actually starved to death in the Latin inflations. Egypt, which imports half its wheat and a great deal of the rest of its food, will actually starve. Revolutions don't only kill their children. They kill a great many ordinary people. The 1921 famine after the Russian civil war killed an estimated five million people, and casualties on the same scale are quite possible in Egypt as well. Half of Egyptians live on $2 a day, and that $2 is about to collapse along with the national currency, and the result will be a catastrophe of, well, biblical proportions. -- Spengler

Your Say

The economical and agricultural habits of Moslem nations is their downfall. Tiny Israel, on a sliver of land, has managed to produce produce, technologies and other advancements that mark a sane thought process. Islam hasn't. It has only looted from the hosts it feeds upon. When they have converted the hosts into the parasites they are, their societies end up dying. They may continue to reproduce like cockroaches, but without the means to feed themselves, it is over.
I'm tired of bailing them out, frankly.

As Winston Churchill observed (The River War, Vol. II, London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899 pp. 248-250): "How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays upon its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful, fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live...Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities...But the influence of religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world."

There is no sign that the West will be able to resist thinking well of itself and again rescuing several million Arabs from its closest held beliefs. To the contrary, 36 million in the neighborhood of Somalia were protected from starvation, the result of which quickly was 72 millions with identical opinions--less those which are being imported into America as community welfare experiments and cab drivers.

Remember those greenhouses in Gaza that Israel deliberately left behind as a gift to the Palestinians? Remember how the Palestinians immediately trashed them? Somebody please remind me why I am supposed to lift a finger to help them.
