Not so fast...

I fear that we will continue to ignore the real issues of this war, and how to win it,

and how to confront the ugly reality of how hard it will be to win. And when I say hard, I mean much harder than WW II, with a casualty count that may be horrendous, even in comparison. Despite the jubilation among the nation, this event makes me more pessimistic about the future, because the reaction to it is an indication of the lack of sobriety and reason with which we approach this potentially existential war. -- Transterrestrial Musings

Your Say

It would appear that we are at war, although undeclared, with a certain element of the Pakistani government.

Historical Analogy:

Killing of OBL : GWoT :: Killing of Isoroku Yamamoto : WWII

Trust me on this one, the liberal talking point on this will be: "He is dead, let's pull out now."

The problem with the Crusades was that the Crusaders would win a victory, think they were really hot stuff, carouse, and get their tails waxed when they didn't follow up and kick the stuffing out of the clowns they had just beaten. Looks like the same stupidity is going on today in the US. All of Al Queda, its supporters, fellow travelers and every similar group in the world needs to be fed to the fishes, not just one particularly tall piece of scum

Sounds like the liberal sex training manual.
