The Slave State Known as "California"

I consider the Democratic party to be on the same side as it was in the Civil War..... the side of slavery and the status quo.
On the state level, the Democratic party is totally in the pocket of the government labor unions. These unions are opposed to merit raises and they don't care how much employees hate their job. They support permanent employment with paternalistic retirement and health care. The Republicans refuse to support this anti-commerce, zombie-like, taxpayer funded regime. That makes the Democrats the same today as they were one hundred and 50 years ago. Slavery is good and respectible. -- Pro Commerce: Like the Civil War

It's important to add that the slave trade was a private sector entity.. which makes public unions even worse than the slave trade! What an inconvenient truth.
