Intelligently Stupid Spambots
Hummm, here's a new species of spambot which is currently sneaking past my filters:
It would seem that this effort succeeds by being willfully stupid. It inserts mistpelled words in order to give the message a human scent instead of 'bot body odor. Clever but a waste of life.

I let Akismet trap everything, go through and approve the ones I know and the rest are history. After that the ones with approval pass, the rest don't.
