Trudging Through the InfoSludge

Marshall McLuhan famously uttered the words, "the medium is the message."
In the end you cannot say anything via Twitter, except Twitter. Though you may not intend it, every half-assembled comment contributes to the general reduction into absurdity. If brilliant aphorisms are ever uttered, they are drowned the next moment in the tsunami of electronic sludge. -- David Warren

Your Say

Twitter is best on the receiving end since the receiver can choose to be updated from specific sources. The general feed is nightmarish and there is no way to manage the bombardment of odd followers. It's a fairly good idea that will certainly be a tool for no-good. Not many conservatives utilizing it socially or politically so it will be a powerful tool for chaos. But such is life. Seemingly this uprising we've seen in WI is about to spread. Call me pessimistic, but even if the Left can't completely over-throw our system, they seem hell bent on making certain everyone at least as miserable as they are, more if possible. And you can be sure they'll be using facebook and Twitter to accomplish it.
