"Some Would Indeed"

File under: 'Are You Nucking Futs?':
Executing a no-fly zone would not require covering the whole country. Most of the Libyan action would be along the coast, where the major cities now held by rebels are. Even so, the opening mission of imposing a no-fly zone would almost certainly include missile attacks on air defense sites of a sovereign nation, which some would indeed regard as an act of war. -- Discord Grows in Washington Over a Potential Role in the Libya Conflict - NYTimes.com

Your Say

Everyone convinced that a no fly zone is the answer, is not sticking their ass in that seat and getting a cat shot to go f*ck with some ground-air suppositories.

It is so easy to tell some one else to go stick their dick in the grinder.

Before we take sides in this deal, I would very much like to know who is going to be the worse for US. I understand that Qaddafi is a tyrant, a bad guy, and a huge problem, but things could get worse.

Unfortunately, the US "intelligence" community seems to not have the vaguest idea of who the rebels are.

Time for some liberal journalists on the ground. Whatever they report will tell us what is NOT happening.

If the Muslims wanted air cover perhaps they shouldn't have given up on modernity 1000 years ago? Why on Earth should the US, NATO, or anyone else provide air cover for a Muslim Brotherhood revolution? I never thought serious people would propose something more stupid than flying Khomeini back to Iran, but helping another failed country have a revolution beats that idea by a mile.

Is it even possible for any country to pretend they aren't a dhimmi any more? Or has the sum total of Western Civilization faded to "we are the best dhimmi of all of the dhimmis." The military is about blowing the crap out of places and not making commie-libs feel good or currying favor with mortal enemies.

The G.D. Saudis have first-rate fighters. They can probably find one or two pilots that aren't drunk, given enough time.
