Magical Thinking

The technocrats' assumption is that if something is a good idea, then it must be constitutional.
There is no separation in their minds between a good thing for government to be doing and what is allowed by the Constitution. If it's the former, it must magically be the latter. If something is deemed unconstitutional despite being (in their eyes) a good idea, then there must be some mistake! Let's keep arguing how good of an idea it is.
