The Chalice from the Palace Holds the Pellet with the Poison

Public sector union support, however attractive in the short term,
is a poisoned chalice in today's world.  As long as Democrats are in hock to the teacher's unions, the postal workers, and the various state and federal civil service unions, they are reduced to a producer's€™ lobby for government workers.  They are tied to the 22.6 million Americans who have government jobs -- and cannot respond creatively and thoughtfully to the needs of the 280 million who don't.-- The Madison Blues | Via Meadia

Your Say

It is the TEA Party that is upsetting the cozy connection by defeating the incumbents. Left without Legislative succor in Wisconsin, all that is left to the union is to thrash about in public fury as they see their fate approach.

The people voted against them, aye that would be the taxpayers, those that pay the salaries.

Next to racial and sexual preferences in hiring, public sector bargaining was the most stupid idea in public administration since the end of World War II. However, it is working exactly as intended. The Unions knew that city councils, legislatures and governors would roll over for them once they got bargaining rights. The only flaw in their little plan, however, is that the states retain the right to regulate state and local public employment. In most cases, public sector bargaining can be eliminated with the stroke of the pen.

The Feds don't have public sector collective bargaining, but the unions knew that the Congress and the Democrat Party were for sale.

I am enjoying watching all this start to unwind.

The union members are willing to go to the homes of politicians and hassle their families to get what they want. Our side won't even speak uncivilly about our opponents.

You local teacher is a Marxist and will destroy your city/state to get one more dollar from you. But as long as your local teacher claims "I'm not a Marxist, I just want to take from each according to their means and give to each according to their needs" the Mayberry conservatives let her off of the hook and will rush to say "she just doesn't understand she's wrecking the rest of us."

"Get in their face and punch back twice as hard." Go their their homes and frighten their families. You should not respect any union member that isn't getting scars from fighting the union.
