Storm Troopers Are Not A Luxury
Former Egyptian ruler Hosni Mubarak got lazy and greedyby filling his "regime maintenance" forces with conscripts (as troops) and recent college graduates (as officers). Theses security forces, like the 325,000 paramilitary police in the Central Security Services (belonging to the Interior Ministry, nor the Defense Ministry), were more loyal to the people than to the small group of corrupt politicians running the country. Things had gotten so bad that the small secret police force had taken to hiring criminal gangs to harass or intimidate visible opponents of the government. These thugs fled if faced with serious opposition. And that's what they got during February, 2011. --Strategy PageOf course America's government would never have storm troopers at the ready to suppress the people. Would it? But, if it did, who would they be?

Urban street gangs, mobilized as an "alternative" to doing prison time. They have the guns, the numbers, and the intimidation factor.

Actually, as a combat arms veteran, and one of uncle sam's misguided children, I can state with a high degree of confidence that there is a high level of heavily armed, patriotic, strict constructionist talent standing on the sidelines. We might be older and slower, but we're a lot smarter.
