Obama: Lets's Build the World's Slowest High-Speed Rail!

Holy steam engine, Batman!
The United States should follow the example of Japan and China and build high-speed rail, Biden said. "If we do not, you tell me how America is going to be able to lead the world in the 21st century," he said. -- Sense of Events

I thought we were supposed to have flying cars and moving sidewalks by now.

If you thought Amtrak was a money pit, you haven't seen anything yet.

I like trains. I live in the NE Corridor, a good place for trains. I take the subway too, and find it usually convenient. I walk a whole lot, gave my car to charity, and deserve one really serious "green" trophy, if not a frikkin' statue of myself.

I want absolutely nothing to do with high-speed trains or Amtrash subsidies, or attempts to subvert or ban the use of cars. We're broke, and should act like we realize we're broke. And Biden is a idjit with a doll-hair transplant.
