"In God We Trust"
The One Thing You Won't See on TV at the State of the Union - Dennis PragerHere is the one thing you will not see and probably have never seen. You won't see what is behind the president and above the vice president and the speaker of the House. And because you won't see it, you won't know that you are missing something of surpassing importance.
Think about it for a moment. Why do television cameras never pull back and give a wide-angle view of the president delivering his speech?

Without reading the article my guess is they do not want anyone to see the fasces on either side of the speaker's platform, that symbol of the old Roman Republic and adopted by Mussolinis' regime in Italy?
If so, then the absence of those shots draws attention to what has been there for decades; and draws attention to their concerns that would otherwise be laughed off.
