Typo of the Month (Or Is It?)

"Regardless, Newt Gingrich tells HYMAN EVENTS that Republicans must filibuster the Omnibus bill and not allow it to move in the Senate." [Since fixed, dammit.] -- VIDEO: Newt Urges GOP To Filibuster Omnibus Bill - HUMAN EVENTS

Your Say

Hyman (sic) events? My experience with hymens is limited (okay, zero), but I'm thinking most of them only experience one event, and it's essentially terminal existence-wise, no?

As an aside, Blake Edwards is dead. The man who gave us Peter Gunn and The Pink Panther, and who introduced us to Henry Mancini.

(Maybe a reprise of the Peter Gunn post?)

In my younger days, I had considerable commercial interaction with Moishe the haberdasher, Hyman's brother. Does that count?

I went to the websites of both senators from my state and chastised them severely for putting earmarks in the Omnibus bill. Republicans both, porking another race-grievance reparations demand. The People are not going to take it any more.

In my hometown once, the Lions club was to hold their annual fancy fundraising ball for their charitable work. The public was invited. The ballroom at the big hotel was rented. An orchetra was booked. Press releases issued. The local paper reported it thusly: "Loins to hold pubic ball for chastity."

Next day they fired the typesetter.
