Senate votes 65-31 to repeal ban on gays serving openly in the military

Your Say

Maybe OK for the REMFs; this is going to be problematic for the line troops. Most (especially liberal twits) don't realize how little privacy one has in a combat outfit.

Causing problems for the troops is a feature, not a bug, of repealing DADT.

Liberals don't think military activity is important therefore if something complicates or destroys the effectiveness of military action it's no big deal. Putting an additional burden on the military may be the goal, despite the improbable words of the liberals. Failure to understand the perspective, not the words, of liberals is the fatal flaw of conservatives.

If liberals claimed they wanted to make everyone wealthy by flogging Christians in the street conservatives would go hoarse arguing that flogging Christians isn't likely to make anyone prosperous. Conservatives just refuse to connect the dots of liberal treachery. Liberals play by prison rules and conservatives play by Mayberry rules.

Unintended consequences be damned, full speed ahead! Oh yeah, they're assigning female sailors to sub duty now. Good order and discipline bested by social experimentation. It's okay, SECDEF says so.

I've been saying for years that there are only two obstacles standing in the way of World Government.

1. The American economy
2. The American military

Check and check.

Interesting to note that most of the crew that was screaming loudest and *ahem* pushing the hardest for repeal of DADT could never, or would never, serve in the Armed Forces.

My take? With repeal of DADT, gays now have the equal legal right and opportunity to become dismembered, charred corpses in exotic ports of call.

What's not to like?

"Bones to dogs" Gerard, you are incorrigible.

Big deal. Not.

I understand even the Spartans forbade homosexual contact in their military. A military mission can't become secondary to protecting your lover, male or female. That's why it's a bad idea. It undermines agape with eros.
