Jared Olar: The weather gods demand a sacrificeThe Global Warmingists have covered all their bases. No matter what the weather is like, it always turns out to be exactly the kind of weather we should expect if human activity were causing global temperatures to rise.
The natural sciences have terms for that kind of hypothesis. “Unfalsifiable” is one of them. “Unscientific” is another. An idea may be true, but if it is incapable of being “falsified” or proven wrong, then whatever else that idea is, it certainly isn’t science.
Like the pagans of old thought they could appease the angry gods or win their favor through sacrificing the things most dear to them — their livestock, and if that didn’t work, human beings, even their own children — so it appears that Global Warmingism demands that we sacrifice. And it’s not really sacrifice because it’s moral or sensible or good for us, but sacrifice to appease the offended ecosphere.

"Global Warming" had morphed into "Climate Change," and is now officially (in the US) "Climate Disruption."
All that matters is that the left be "in charge" of whatever it is.

It isn't sacrifice because those called to sacrifice are not the nobility. It is the peasants who are to sacrifice their means, their children. The nobility and the priesthood can still live as they did.

Oh Goreacle, what is to become of us?
We have winterized our houses.
We have gotten cash for our clunkers and now drive a Smart.
Our thermostat has been set at 65.
We ride our bicycles in fealty to the God Gaia.
We have paid our voluntary carbon offsets.
We have voted for more Green pols.
We have shown our obedience in all sacrifice that you, great Goracle, have asked.
And yet the non-believers still do not accept the gospel of Gaia as interpreted by the Goreacle.
It is time, oh Great One, to declare......WAR!!
Just like the War on Poverty, the War on Drugs, the War on Obesity, and more, we must now declare WAR ON THE DENIERS!
Those other wars have been so successful, this will, you can rest assured, carry the day for Gaia (and your bank account.)
