Meet the New Clowns. Same as the Old Clowns.

A gang of schmucks, us? Perish the thought! President Obama keeps his core staff intact!

With Republicans now in control of the U.S. House, the White House quickly announced a few symbolic gestures intended to show they had absorbed the lessons of the midterm election. Obama invited both Democratic and Republican legislative leaders to a meeting followed by dinner in the White House on Nov. 18. It will be the first in a series of bipartisan overtures in the months to come, White House aides said.

But the lack of White House personnel moves — combined with the likely return of Nancy Pelosi as leader of the House Democrats and Harry Reid as majority leader of the Senate — leaves a different impression.

Further proof of the Ruling Class status of both Republicans and Democrats: remember that after the Republicans lost so many seats in the 2006 election the party leadership was quickly re-elected, before any lessons could be learned and before the voters could pressure the old guard.

The fact is the disconnected leaders that take their party to ruin aren't capable of recognizing their shortcomings. Whether their party wins or loses the leaders' ego is secure from injury. It's the most perfectly natural response for Nancy Pelosi to expect she SHOULD be leader of the party that was so thoroughly defeated. "The state is moi"

The TEA Party should quickly change this mess from evolution to revolution.

Nix the Boner out of his desire to be Speaker; Bachmann or some one with seniority in the TEA Party caucus take the position. Stand the Old Guard in the corner and tell them how to vote or else they're next the '12.

Red meat for the voters, keep the promises and keep pushing.

After Cornwallis was defeated at Yorktown, he invited the French and American top brass to join him and his officers for dinner. The French accepted, but the Americans declined.

The GOP leadership have elected to be French, which is not what the voters elected them to do.

I am delighted that the President has chosen to stay his course, and that Nancy and Reid are back.

The American people need still more painful convincing that these Democrats are an insane clown posse and that more of them must be eliminated. 2 more years of this triumvirate of talking baboons may do the trick.

Maybe the GOP will bring their own Slurpees.
