Olbermann Suspended from MSNBC Indefinitely - Big Journalism

MSNBC has suspended prime-time host Keith Olbermann indefinitely without pay for making political contributions. Politico reported Friday that Olbermann contributed to the campaigns of three Democratic candidates this fall, including one on the same day he appeared on Olbermann’s “Countdown” program.

Your Say

Not fair to Olbermann.

If he's suspended, then so should 90% of all media talking heads.

Here's hoping that fairness wins the day ;-)

As others have asked, what is the problem here? Was anyone pretending that Olbermann was anything other than a partisan hack anyway? I mean, it's not as if he is a real journalist. So why is not allowed to put his money where his mouth is?

Like firing a circus elephant for not being able to hop into a gerbil's treadwheel & keep it spinning all day.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Yes, I'm standing up for Keith. This is double-dumbass.

Dateline Berlin 1936:

Obersturmfuherer Himmler has been relieved of all duties after publicly denigrating Jews, Gypsys, and homosexuals.

Film at eleven.

I am so Godwinned...

Olberdork's suspension is just a cover story so "bathtub boy" doesn't have to be on-air until there is something besides the election to talk about. A suspension story is less embarrassing for all than another "he won't come out of the bathroom" episode.

Suspending KO for donations is like suspending the CEO of NPR for undisclosed Soviet connections. Not only doesn't it make sense, but that was a fundamental job requirement. Remember when liberals are talking in mixed company (anointed/unwashed) their words are only to provoke a specific reaction in their opponents.

Shit, lets stone him anyway; it isn't as if he's without sin.
