Cash & Carry

Just mindboggling: PHOTO'S OF A MEXICAN DRUG LORD'S HOME AFTER BEING RAIDED That is cash piled on that table in the background! (And in the closets, the backroom, the suitcases, the filing cabinets, the plastic bins, the bathroom.....)

Your Say

All the more reason to make illicit drugs legal again. Just as Repeal put Capone and company out of business, ending the War on Drugs would put these "drug lords" out of business.

What did our grandparents understand that we oh-so-sophisticated moderns don't?

Oh, wait, making illicit drugs legal again would put thousands and thousands of "drug warriors" out of work! We can't have that-- how ever will they ever lead productive lives, never having to do anything productive before, and having been too busy harassing us for consensual "crimes"??

Yes, it's been a bad week. I can't wait for November.

All I can think of is what Christ said:

Matthew 6:19-21: Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal.

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

And:

Luke 12:19-21:
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
