Voters to Stupak: Door. Ass. Bang. [Updated and bumped]

stupakitburnsweb.jpg

Rep. Bart Stupak won't seek reelection - Mike Allen and Josh Kraushaar - POLITICO.com "Now with health care done, he’s retiring." [Soon we'll find out what plum job he sold his vote for.-- Ed]

Update: BigFurHat is, ahem, on the money when he says: Check Stupak's Freezer
I am dead serious. This guy's bank accounts have to be investigated. Look under his mattress. If he was persuaded to NOT retire just to hang around to vote for the passage of health care, what was all the posturing and hold-out about? Particularly in light of the fact that that video surfaced where he said he would vote for the health care bill despite the abortion funding provision being in it. This guy is dirty.

Your Say

Why do the words "ass" and "bang" in such close proximity to each other bring to mind the House Financial Services Committee?

Milton Friedman gave us Federal Withholding, but in later years had the common sense to know it was a terrible mistake. Maybe Stupak's hour of maturity is still ahead of him.

At any rate, I have strong doubts he'll be wanting "ObamaCare Stupak" chiseled on his headstone for all eternity when the time comes.

That is a slander on Milton Friedman. The withholding system was devised by a man named Beardsley Ruml. Friedman was a Treasury department staffer when the withholding system was implemented, but Ruml, who was at that time President of Macy's, is the inventor..

At least now, when the cowardly lyin' Stupak's head rings with the shouts and cries of millions of murdered babies, it won't be while he is on the taxpayer's dime.

I personally have no doubt Stupak sold his vote. But it can never be proved.

Stupak will pick up his reward later. It may be an appointment as Ambassador to a pleasant island nation where he will do nothing but enjoy a lavish expense account for a few years.

Or appointment to a cushy job in government, or a a highly paid Professorship at a liberal university - tenure immediately and no requirement to ever teach anything.

The President and the Dems have thousands of such rewards to dispense.

Yes there are many rewards. The last Obama "pro-life" guy, Doug Kmiec, sold his soul to misdirect and misinform Catholics and help elect the most pro-abortion president in our history.

Kmiec was very quietly awarded a coveted Ambassadorship to Malta...a very plum assignment on a gorgeous island in the Mediterranean.
