Everything You Need to Know (and Already Knew) About the Colonized Mind of Terry Gross

Terry Gross: What I Read | The Atlantic Wire
"When I'm not listening to Morning Edition I put on satellite radio. I listen to Willie's Place, which plays '40s, '50s and '60s country and Siriusly Sinatra. I used to listen to some conservative radio in the morning to hear the talking points of the day. When I arrive at my office I read the New York Times with CNN or MSNBC on in the background. Between noon and 1:00 p.m., I'm hosting the show or doing live introductions. After the show I'm reading materials for my next interview or working on questions. I subscribe to a lot of magazines: Time, The Atlantic, Newsweek, Harper's, Entertainment Weekly, The New Yorker and The New Republic. I read them all kind of like they were catalogs. I read the table of contents and look for interesting story ideas we might want to pursue."

Like so many others, she's been so ill for so long she doesn't even know she's infected.

I listen to Fresh Air, hosted by Terry Gross, every day for years. Her lamest shows are when she ventures into politics. She's so meek, and she gets meeker when she's trying to ask a pointed question. Her voice gets even higher and she speaks faster likes she's trying to rush in the question before she gets punched.

Her trick, and NPR for that matter, is to invite on far liberal reporters to explain what conservatives mean about some contentious issue. This allows the liberal meme of the issue to be safely protected and the conservative arguemt to never really be heard.

To explain Tea Parties they get some hck from The Nation or The Daily Worker on to discuss if Tea Partiers really are as racist and prone to ourbursts of violence as the bloggers on HuffPo claim. It;s like inviting NAMBLA reps to come on the air and explain the teen modesty movement.

Her best show, Scott, was when Gene Simmons was on. His straightforward, no-nonsense take down left her shocked and upset that anyone could have his views. I had to rethink the whole KISS is not a band I would listen to philosophy after hearing her ream out her tiny little brain.

Ms. Gross is trapped in the liberal Matrix. Someone needs to give her the red pill.

But she wants to be there, I think. If you got her in some unguarded moment and really asked her what she thought, she'd tell you its where she wants to be.
