Conned by Cuba: Wired Science's Fool, Brandon Keim, Interview Stanford Tool Paul Drain
It's just another round of blow-jobs for Castro when Keim and Drain sit down to talk about What Cuba Can Teach Us About Health Care | Wired ScienceJust a morning’s boat ride from the tip of Florida is a place where medical costs are low and doctors plentiful. It’s Cuba, and Stanford University physician Paul Drain says it’s time for the United States to pay attention to our neighbor’s shoestring success.Really? Like this "shoestring success"?

Or overstated, for that matter.

Such fools and/or rogues, plus their psychotic lies, are not likely to go away, especially when so much of the Establishment cheers them on. They will change when Castro tells them to do so, and not before.

I am going out on a limb here: this "Drain" fellow(how aptly named is he?) is amazingly evil. He cannot possibly be ignorant of the deficiencies of the Cuban system, and as a physician, of the miseries caused by it to real people. He continues to advocate for that system to supplant ours.
He very glibly pushes for what amounts to "slave doctors" just like they have in Cuba.
He thinks we should believe the completely bogus statistics put out by Castro - who doesn't count infants until they are IIRC a year old in the infant mortality rates.
He really does believe we have a lot to learn from Cuba. People and their pesky need for freedom can really get in the way of a grand plan.
So inconvenient when one is trying to DO SOMETHING.

I've seen cleaner desk drawers at an auto wrecking yard - they call this a hospital?
I pity the poor Cubans, but then, I guess that's just one reason why they risk their lives in leaky bathtubs to come to the US, eh?

I don't get those clueless cretins at Wired. They frequently publish fascinating stuff on technology that will democritize manufacturing or help provide greater personal freedoms, etc., but they love to kiss big government ass. They present fascinating possibilities for greater independence from government and big business for individuals and groups, and then, cluelessly, sign on to government dictats. Do their right and left hands even know when the other is masturbating?
The infectious nonsense that was eventually labeled "modernism" started a century ago, as people mistook technological progress for some sort of evolutionary event in human development. Because we were modern/urban/crowded/immigrant or whatever, we needed to bow to the wisdom of the 'experts' and the progressives. Modernism is still with us, despite the fact that we've been labeled the "Post-Modern" era.
