Stupak didn't cave. This week-long charade was nothing more than an attempt to give him and his team of useful idiots political cover. He never had any intention of substantively holding up this legislation, and he's on record as having said as much.

I'm betting Obama promised Stupak that he would send some ACORN goons to his district to make sure he gets re-elected in November. That sealed the deal.
