Island Saved from Global Warming by Earthquake!

Who says there's no good news?
"Santa Maria Island off the coast near Concepcion, Chile’s second-largest city, may have been raised 2 meters (6 feet) as a result of the latest quake." -- Chilean Quake Likely Shifted Earth’s Axis, NASA Scientist Says - BusinessWeek

Your Say

We need an Earth Axis Shift czar, and a giant pile of money for him (definitely a him, because I think I should be selected) to implement "policy," which will be whatever I decide it to be. Setting up an Axis Watch headquarters in the U.S. Virgin Islands would be a good start. No need for me to be based in now cold-and-snowey Washington DC, what with teleconferencing and the internet.

Right Honorable Mr. Rodrigo: I know just the property you can build Axis Watch headquarters...For a paltry finder's fee of course.
