Watch the Obama Handjobs. They Tell a Story.

"He inspired in most men the warm, sweet urge to smack him in the mouth." -- John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee
Gibbs takes a short break from giving handjobs to WH press corpse @jaketapper "Gibbs Mocks Sarah Palin from White House Podium." - Twitter
One would think that those working in such an exalted place of power, command, and control would be above such petty slights. One would be wrong. These are all very low-class people from the core to the periphery.

Update: Derek @ Ace of Spades HQ takes you in for the close-up of Gibbs' hand:

Your Say

This word means nothing anymore but it is the only word fitting to describe what Gibbs did: it's shocking.

Gibbs is the biggest 11 year old out there. The shame is that he is on a national stage representing the President.

Unbelievable.

For a fellow who has more backwoods relatives than Carter or Clinton, Barry should move a lot more carefully there.

Fear. The White House is rank with it.

I forget how the line goes, but isn't it written somewhere that if you must have enemies, let them be stupid enemies?

Casual boorishness and uncouth arrogance are the defining characteristics of this administration. This condition demonstrates to me that while the Ivy League may prepare people to avoid embarrassing themselves with a salad fork, it doesn't do squat to prepare them to live and function in America. At least not anywhere outside their little club house.

The "Hi, Mom" tells me that Sarah has a healthy sense of humor.

Gibbs, not so much.

A day late and a dollar short. Palin already diffused the whole situation with the "Hi Mom!" on her palm at the Perry rally. Gibbs just looks like a doofus at this point

Vaguely reminds me of the Monty Python duel between Arthur and the Black Knight. Except I recall Arthur's expression as serious, and Palin's clearly having a lot of fun with this.

"Are you kidding? It's just a flesh wound!"

"Casual boorishness and uncouth arrogance are the defining characteristics of this administration."

Much like most of the oh-so-caring "progressives" I have known over the years....

I left "transparently incompetent" out of my earlier comment because my sentences are always too long. I tend to speak in too passive a voice, as well.

Drives me nuts.

This is the kind of low bred political hackery of corrupt machine politcians, and ward bosses. It's a step away from sending Teamster thugs, or SEIU tools out to intimidate opposing candidates running for city council. And it isn't going on without approval from Teh Preznit. Keep it up, guys. We're getting a first hand look at the core values of the empty suit on Pennsylvania Avenue.
How's that Hope'n change thang workin' out for ya'?

Gibbs regularly reminds me of a crack by John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee, to the effect that some guy "Inspired in most men the warm, sweet urge to smack him in the mouth."

Easier to laugh at him, though. Blood pressure, blood pressure.

I don't remember Tony Snow ever even attempting to approach this level of pettiness, and he had to deal with a hostile Helen Thomas.

And how many teleprompters and portable lecterns would Palin bring to an elementary school?

Could Obama read My Pet Goat without a teleprompter?

Aug16Anne Smith Hi, Joe! Just heard your comments on Focus on the Family today! I had never heard of you befroe! My husband knew you because he watches racing. Keep up the great attitude and leadership in the Word with the public watching you. What a great blessing you sound for young people, as well as us oldies. We must all keep God close in our lives to help remind us that He directs our paths, as well as successes and failures. We are nothing without Him! God bless you and your family with eight grandchildren. What a blessing!
