Best Whittle Afterburner Yet

That's right. Best ever. Watch it all and see why: PJTV - Afterburner with Bill Whittle - KSM, Not Guilty: Why Obama’s 9/11 Show Trials Assault The Rule Of Law

Posted by Vanderleun at February 15, 2010 3:53 PM. This is an entry on the sideblog of American Digest: Check it out.

Your Say

Dear Mr. Vanderleun: The second part of Whittle's piece, that the civilian criminal justice system will be degraded by The One's idiotic insistence on trials for KSM&Co. is unexceptional. But Whittle's notion that jurors have been brainwashed by Hollywood into distrusting cops is just bonkers. Has he never heard of Jim Treacher getting run down by a federal bullyboy and getting blown off (and worse) by the feds when he tries for justice? Or the dismissal of the Black Panther voting intimidation case after a default verdict was reached? Or the Duke lacrosse case? This piece was poor, its trite parts watered down with this awful bilge.

Sincerely yours,
Gregory Koster

Listen again, sir. Listen two more times. You didn't get it right the first time.

I'm just an amateur here, having no schooling in the law or anything.

But here's the thing that really, really scares me about the whole military/civilian treatment of KSM and his ilk, and which Whittle doesn't explicitly state.....

If, prior to a judge hearing any defense objections, and before a jury hears the evidence, Zero can state with absolute certainty that he can try KSM as a civilian, and that he will be found guilty and will thereafter be executed for those crimes, or, failing that, that KSM will be kept in custody forever, what's to keep Zero (or an even more corrupt executive) from muddling this distinction between civilian rights and legal processes and those of the military?

There are precedents being set here, and we should be aware of where they might take us.
