Sunday Morning Services: One Year On, President Obama Still Can't Find a Church - Big Journalism
Obama quit Chicago's embattled Trinity United Church of Christ months before taking office in 2008 and has not formally joined a new one in his new hometown. But sources familiar with the president's personal life say Obama remains a faithful Christian while in the White House, practicing his beliefs regularly in private with family and the aid of his BlackBerry.Yeah. Right. Look, there's nothing wrong with being godless, but at least have the stones to front it, okay? This continuous slow stream of crapulation is getting tedious.

He wouldn't dare join a Liberation Theology (marxo-christian) church like Reverend Wright's; that was strictly a political move, and it would reveal him as the liar he is on that subject. And he can't join a Christian church because he doesn't believe in Christianity. And he sure as hell can join a mosque because that would really make the scales fall off his idiot public's eyes. So he does not attend church.

Jeremiah Wright is not a Christian. He is a rabid fucking racist hatemonger. No one could possibly sit in that room and listen to Wright for a minute if he did not share Wright's unmitigated hatred for America, and the white race. If a white politician attended a similar "church" even once, his chances of being elected to public office would be zero, zip, zilch, nada, and none. When will the naked bigotry of black America be called out? I for one will brook no double standards. Fuck these people.

His Christianity, like everything else about him, seems disingenious, unless of course he believes he really is some kind of divine savior.
As a Christian and an artist, I find that both descriptions or identities can be hard to disprove (contrasted with say, calling yourself a doctor, lawyer or waitress). Popular culture has sort of stereotyped both identities and in truth, both have a large range of definitions.
Possibly Obama is a sort of Cartman Christian. The use of Christ can come in handy as a source of personal advancement especially in a predominant Christian culture. I imagine if Obama were to run for office in Turkey, he'd claim his Muslim roots.
His life should be an example for those who confuse their kids about religion young and then leave it up to their kid's spouse to decide what they believe.
