Sunday 20 April 2014 Press Release Atlanta Field Office Federal Bureau of Investigation

Yesterday 4 Deputy US Marshals were detailed to serve an arrest warrant on Philip Gordon 63 of Carroll County in west Georgia. Mr Gordon refused to allow the Marshals entrance to his gated property whereupon the gate was breached using necessary force. During the process Mr Gordon’s 2 Labrador retrievers charged the federal agents and were dispatched. Mr Gordon refused to submit to arrest and brandished an assault rifle accusing the Marshals of trespassing before retreating into his home. The Marshals summoned backup from the local Carroll County Sheriff’s office and two of the 6 responding deputies refused to cooperate in serving the lawful warrant. They were immediately relieved of duty. Additional backup of federal agents in the Atlanta field offices of the FBI and BATFE surrounded the Gordon residence. Repeated demands for Gordon to surrender went unheeded and chemical agents were introduced into the structure. An hour later an unconscious Gordon was taken into custody and booked into the Fulton county jail on the warrant charging refusal to pay the $15,000.00 penalty for failure to maintain a government approved medical insurance policy. -- Francis W. Actually, Gerard, that piece was composed by my Co-Conspirator Leonidas. I'll be sure to pass your compliments along to him.

Odd that the setting is my old hometown.......

This fictional man won't be the only one refusing to buy mandated health insurance and fighting against (or demanding to) be jailed for refusal/inability to pay the fines. I'll be watching and if it comes to that, practicing nonviolent resistance to unconstitutional government mandates.

Either that, or I'l be in an undisclosed, remote, self-sustaining community. A very large and very well armed community.

I wonder how practical "internal secession" will be? Very practical, I hope.

It does bring up the question of just how conservatives can fight this nonsense. AskMom suggests "nonviolent resistance" and I agree but the problem is they know where to hit law abiding middle class citizens where it hurts. Does an anarchist or radical environmentalist really care if they get arrested, no it's a right of passage. Do they care if they get fined? No they aren't going to pay it anyway. However, for a middle class family person, getting arrested can get you fired. Who has a few thousand laying around for fines? I guess the answer is that sacrifices must be made if we desire to keep our liberty.
