To go OT: WRT your repeat post on Day of the Dead in Spain.
I have just heard, again, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". It haunts, that song. And I am in Michigan where the lakes still define many things.
But the church-bells of Mariners' ringing, the inexorable call of 'the Witch of November'; it is a reminder that we know what death actually is.
Some of us, we do remember.
