Obama Hope Artist's Studio Tagged with "Acorn-Funded Prostitution Zone"

The Eastsider LA What's the deal with Acorn, Gary Leonard & Shepard Fairey?
Gary Leonard taking a photo of a sign painted on those easy-to-clean walls of artist Shepard Fairey's Echo Park studio. The sign reads "Acorn Funded Prostitution Zone." Since Fairey is not likely to respond to any questions, all theories are welcome.

Your Say

This is NOT "guerilla" art, as some suggest.

THIS *I*S* "art". (in the BEST sense...)

Remember Duchamp's URINAL?!
"This is not a pipe"?!
Brillo boxes, anyone?!

This IS the revolution. OURS. America's.

Wouldn't be surprised to find he did it to himself.

Oh man, this aging ex-hippie boomer (yeah, me too, Gerard!) is loving this!

The American "Right" (which is growing exponentially every time more people are labeled wingnuts by intellectual midgets of the "Left") is acting more and more like the old counterculture: Obama/Joker posters, kids pulling stings at Acorn offices, a ginormous crowd showing up in DC with signs and stuff, and now this.

I want more, keep it coming, kids! Power to the People, and this time we really do mean the REAL people!

I doubt this is Fairey's work. He is, believe or not, quite sensitive to having his OWN property "tagged"(vandalized).
Deceiver.com printed a letter he wrote to someone on this subject and it was priceless. In a nutshell:"I'M AN ARTIST.... IT'S DIFFERENT WHEN I DO IT. SHUT UP!!!"

Roderick Reilly:

No surprise - the left is now the establishment, and the right is using the weapons best-suited for the anti-establishment.

Like John Kerry and the SwiftVets, they could not conceive of being attacked like this.
