I remember in one of Trump’s Virus press conferences some days ago he made reference to WWII. He spoke of how America produced incredible numbers of ships in an incredibly short period of time for the war effort. My guess is that that is what comes next: an all out campaign to return manufacturing, and especially drug production, medical equipment, and electronics to these shores. If anything has become clear, it’s that China is a bad actor, and we’ve been the worst of fools to allow them so much leverage over our daily lives. I hope to see millenials faced with so much employment they’ll get worked out of wokeness. Maybe I’m wrong. I frequently am. But I hope and pray that this is the case.

Those are the reasons the businesses left in the first place. The average person hasn’t the slightest idea what even small businesses have to deal with in this country let alone the large ones. 9 out of 10 businesses fail within the first 5 years.

And I’m guessing that point will get driven like a nail as soon as people find out they could have had a job except that EPA climate change regulations prohibited the carbon, or some such crap, or the board of directors can’t be seated until they find a non-binary transexual person of color. I know a whole lot of folks, myself included, were totally unaware that such a huge percentage of our fucking MEDICINE comes from labs in China. I think a call to bring that one industry alone back here would get overwhelming approval.

I was at Menards a day ago to get a few drill bits. Almost all made in China. Bosch Brand, made in China. This Chicom Flu thing has me pissed some. I kept looking and then I see MONTANA BRAND drill bits. PROUDLY MADE IN USA. Cost a bit more, but will probably last much longer. Sold.

I grew up on horses and spent a little time messing with cows. Great way for a kid to grow up and I have fond memories of all of it but I have not a single memory of eating calf testicles, fondly or otherwise.
I was raised in the Deep South where a lot of weird crap can find its way to a lunch or dinner plate, especially if you have an unnatural bent for eating ‘soul food’…. but I never knew that anyone, anywhere, ever that ate a calf’s clangers until I moved to Oklahoma.
Mental imagery is a fun thing and when I first heard of the practice I imagined a big boiling pot filled with hot and highly seasoned (is there any other way) gray-ish swollen balls floating in a mass of pale gooey broth, bursting with flavor, just waiting for a real man to grab a ladle and serve ‘em up hot with the ever present slice of Texas toast with a side of boiled baby carrots and mashed potatoes swimming in gravy.
Nope, that wasn’t it. Typical of unimaginative, small town Oklahoma, they slice the things….a job I would refuse on all levels….roll ‘em in flour, fry ‘em up so that the look like fried dill pickles and then serve them with the traditional Texas toast, boiled carrots and mashed potatoes swimming in gravy.
Salted, peppered and slathered in hot sauce, they taste like you’d expect them to taste. I found them to be disgusting.
