Rifles In The Dark by Dark Triad Man

We moved the guns and ammunition well after midnight.

There were six or seven of us, garbed in layered clothing against the dropping temperatures of the high altitude environment. It was a clear night and our voices were subdued as we worked in the thin air.

There was an important task at hand. Hundreds of rifles, thousands and thousands of rounds of ammunition and gear for hundreds of men needed to be moved. Quickly, quietly and competently.

There could be no chance of interference from State power or observation from the eyes of the idly curious, the covetous or even the hostile predator. The material was too valuable, too important to risk.

“Power grows from the barrel of a gun,” said Mao Zedong. And he knew this well.

The most consequential form of power is the lethal force of the State. And in the reality of the dark world that lethal force is exercised at the whim of ideologists and politicians, applied with cruelty and rapacious brutality to inflict not justice but oppression, not truth but lies, and with determination to crush and murder the rights of human beings who dare to not merely proclaim, but exercise their freedom.

Every revolution begins with indignation.

Every purge ends with volleys of rifle fire into men standing before a wall.

It is in the space between those singularities, in the tumble and turn of social detonation and collapse, that the fate of a nation and its people are determined by men who hold levers of power.

History is written by men willing to use those levers.

That no revolution has broken out, does not mean that no revolution is possible.

That the oppressed and beaten peoples of any time or place do not savagely rise and teach bloody and permanent lesson to their overlords, does not mean that those overlords are secure.

“Sitting on bayonets is uncomfortable,” said Joseph Goebbels. He spoke truth in that observation.

The discomfort of the tyrant arises from the sure and certain knowledge that men never have their dignity entirely erased, and when such men have nothing to lose they may turn upon their tyrant and tear him to pieces with the desperate ferocity of the hopeless.

There is a great and singular factor that separates successful revolutions from failed ones, and a grim and terrible difference between men who rise in the defense of their homes and communities and those who are herded with their wives and children, naked and emaciated, into a nameless forest and shot.

The ability to fight is what separates the murdered from the free.

The ability to fight is a necessary component of the dark world, and we did the sacred work that night of concealing that ability from the pitiless gaze of the tyrant.

Men rarely understand the nature of military power in the hands of governments.

The idiot believes that it is there to protect him, to enforce justice.

The common man thinks that it is used according to the law, sheltered within the principles of the culture.

The wise man assumes that human beings are fallible and their choices often self-serving; that the best interests and plans often reluctantly settle into the expedient and the tawdry.

The Dark Triad Man knows the truth:

State power is the tool of men with ruthless ambition, remorseless intention and brutal capacity who do not hesitate to shed blood, hide graves and rewrite history in their favor.

Concealment of capacity is among the most crucial components of freedom. For freedom exists in the dark world within a fearsome gradient, between the polarities of anarchy and totalitarianism, and at every spot between them the shade is merely a different hue of blood.

Thus concealment of plans from the organs of the State is vital to the preservation of freedom.

Concealment of networks from the agents of the State is the hypervigilant task of the insurgent.

Concealment of physical power from the intelligence of the State is the fearsome task of free men.

Do not trust the ruling power.

The ruling power always has more resources, more intelligence, more ruthlessness and more cruelty than you can imagine. And your survival depends upon concealment until the moment of decision.

The fool believes that his vote is a determining factor in the policies of the State.

The common man thinks that parties and coalitions and alliances represent his interests.

The wise man assumes that history and culture place boundaries on the system, which rights itself.

The Dark Triad Man accepts the truth:

There is always a Caesar waiting with grim and immortal ambition, nestled in the heart of the nation, who seeks to rise to total power and views blood and atrocity and horror as mere laurels of valid drama upon his entitled brow.

Just as the ambitious conceal plans, capacity in response is preserved through the concealment of revelation.

The work was done swiftly that night, nearly a generation ago. The rifles, oiled and wrapped and prepared, may still be there. Or they may be in the hands of men who can be trusted with truth and the momentum of history as it manifests in the dark world. Men who are loyal to their brothers.

Decades have passed, but the lesson of that night remains.

In response to the growth of fearsome tyranny, dreadful capacity must lie concealed.

Waiting.

Men well people, have waited patiently for our govt to pull its heads out of its ass. Oddly enough Govt insists one sticking its head further into the ass. Men, we’ll people have grown keen eyed, watching the corruption manifest at an astronomical rate in city county, state, but especially federal levels.

I grow tired of the fence sitters, the meek the cowardly, telling me, what I am, to you people fuck off, go play around of golf, a set of tennis. I fucking hate cowards more then anything on the face of this planet.

As our govt dives into WWIII, a move thats purely politics, to save their seats in power, “ most folks Won’t change management in the middle of a fight. How do I know, It’s simple really. Their words, their actions, but most importantly their I’ll deeds behind closed doors.

33 billion tax dollars, to Ukraine, our Intel tracking russian generals, and as of late the newest Russian flag ship, hit with missiles, off snake island. These acts are not the acts of a neutral nation, but of a nation engaged at its highest levels.

Its true men and the tools are being stock piled, Cleaned, oiled and prepared for a fight within. I’ve been in uniform from four years old. Cub scouts, Boy Scouts, Navy, Army, and then Law Enforcement.

My world changed, I saw the light when, then SCOTUS Scalia penned what is referred to loosely as the Policeman’s job description.

    1 Investigate crimes.
    2 arrest those responsible.
    3 protect the infrastructure?

Not protect our weak our people, our communities, but protect they system. Even then I was seeing huge cracks corruption in state and federal levels. Na I’m not about to protect a corrupt system.

Anybody who’s been in the military or other positions requiring an oath will recognize the Enemies foreign and domestic part of that oath, the protect the constitution part.

I for one can not and will not stand by and watch the treachery the corruption, the open destruction of my nation.

As one knucklehead here told me last week I’m a nazi pig, again fuck you. I piss and shit red white and blue, I’ve sat on my hands, kept my mouth shut for YEARS, waiting hoping this shit show in DC, would find the moral courage to Un Fuck itself.

These elected people have no desire to self correct. So that lil “ nudge”. Is going to be required. GV’s article is soooooo spot on it hurts. Not all here will be “shooters”.

Yet all here have a duty to take our nation back from the liars, the thief’s, the govt, the dark money, the men and women behind the curtains. While I feel it duty to vote, I recognized a lot time ago, votings not, but those counting the vote.

Safe houses, transportation, Intel, medical attention for those in need. Food clean water, the list is miles long.

I read yesterday our Govt is laughing at us. Bullshit. Our govt are scared shitless of We The People. Our govt spends billions and billions, On infiltration, on monitoring sites like AD or WRSA, many many others.

And again we catch those agency’s setting citizens up. Gretchen Widmire? The gov kidnapping.

    The Bundys. NV.

    Lavoy Finicums murder.
    Ruby Ridge.
    Waco Texas.

Appears our govt has its own target packages,,,,,, And now the ministers of truth! These people are sick, mentally sick. The systems a self licking lollipop, designed to scratch all three branch’s of govts backs, protect one another.

I shared several months ago, that I had roughly 150/200 pics of Antifa leadership, on my phone camera, that these men were clearly not Americans.

I shared that those pictures were removed without my permission from my phone. I shared what happened with a fed, ATF, we are life long friends, he laughed said you’ve been government-Ed. The pics meant nothing to me, but apparently the govt thought them importantant enough to unlawfully remove them.

So in the mean time, I’ll continue to pay my taxes, stop at stop signs, not hurt folks, be a loving husband and grand father. Knowing what’s coming. Preparing for what’s coming. In many ways I feel sorry for those on the left, but then I see literally no difference between the left and the right. They are one and the same.

Our govt will continue to push, and I’ll continue to resist, pray it doesn’t come to civil war. But I feel like I’m pisssing in the wind.

Uncomfortable truths are denied by fearful men. I get that; we’re all afraid to one degree or another, and like the monster under the bed, if we remain still and quiet the uncomfortable monster truths won’t “get us”. Except they will. Oh the monster might eat you last, but eat you it will because no one can hide from it.

Truths, like the ones described by Dark Triad Man, are a thrust, parried by disbelief and rejection. The disbelieving will replace offensive reality with softer-edged themes more easily digested, things from their wish- and want-list that do not keep them up at night listening for the monster. Pretending he isn’t under the bed does not make him go away, but it does salve the irritation for a while. The only problem is the evil monster does not respect those limitations, you can pretend all you want but you are a meal. Maybe not just now, but you are a meal all the same and the monster will not be denied.

The importance of emphasizing the good over the bad cannot be doubted either, attitude determines altitude so they say and they are right. To a point. To focus on the beauty of a flame while you are on fire misses the point, and broadly. We are now so far removed from the form and function of the nation, and of the culture, we once were that the legislative buttons are pushed without regard to consequences. And without regard to accountability.

What’s that? Vote the rascals out, you say? That is a different topic and demands a separate discussion, I think.

In the meantime it looks like we are in a defensive hunker against the momentum of the deep state; we are East Germany without The Wall. Those who feed the monster (and they willingly feed him fellow citizens) deepen the swamp and make the coming conflict more severe. While the liberties and freedoms of the US citizen are smothered and the formerly robust culture is polluted, the numbers of people in opposition grows smaller, hoping to be eaten last. Am I mistaken about that?

While getting the mail one day my neighbor across the road was getting his too, so we chatted. Said he just got a rifle back from a dood that does restorations and I should come by and see it. So we went inside and he showed it to me. An old Stevens single shot in 22-250 a pretty rare breed. Said it had been the family’s tractor gun for some 50 years and was beat pretty bad but still worked. Cause it had family history and his dad died the year before, he didn’t mind spending the $1000 to bring it back to almost new condition. It was very nice and the bullets looked like std 22 but were almost twice as long. Never seen bullets that looked like that before.

We were talking guns and I spotted a shotgun in the corner and asked about it. He grabbed it and handed it to me and told me some stuff about it, which led to talking about another one of his guns. We walked around the inside of the house for an hour or so, him picking up various guns standing in corners of his very large house, or pulling them out of numerous closets, and even getting some out of the 3 very large gun cabinets lined up along the far wall of the living room. Each gun had a story, was a working gun, and was not treated or talked about like they were trailer queens. Workers.

By the time I left an hour and a half later I had looked at and held some 30-40 guns and that was just a percentage of the guns I had observed. No telling how many more guns were in the rest of the house. He is a thrice divorced dood in his mid 50’s, has a good job in the union that pays him far more money then he needs, has very simple tastes in everything, and is very well situated in this life. His mother lives just a mile away in the home he was born and raised in and he has lived in the current house since 1995. 3 tractors in the driveway and 2 more in the yard and yes, he drives one of them giant 4 door Dodge 4×4’s with diesel dualies and a 5th wheel rig in the bed.

This conversation was held about 10 years ago and at the time my arsenal was paltry compared to my neighbor. Since then my other neighbor to the south, who is a major gunner and has a 300 yd range on his property, has shown me many of the things he has learned in the taking of numerous tactical courses over the past 15 years. He inspired me to build my first AR15, and when that was done the ball started rolling. My arsenal is still miniscule compared to those guys but all of my guns are hard workers that get used at least weekly and I even have a short pistol range right here on our compound. I recently purchased an “off the books” pistol for my wife and I’m working to get her more proficient with it. I won’t last forever so it is imperative that she be able to fend for herself after I am gone.

Guns have always been part of the american experience and if things keep going on the path it is now I believe they will become more important. Like any tool, they are meant to be used frequently and expertly. And, like any tool, you can never have too many. Like any other tool you own, it is no ones business but your own how many you have.

I know a fair amount about guns and calibers and I’ve had a passel most of my life. I love them and know how to use them too; not as finely as a military sniper but I don’t need to have a knowledge of that much detail. I can kill just as easily at 400 yards as I can at 50 yards because I know my rifles and their limitations and although I have several, if the SHTF I will only use one or two.

And btw, the .22-250 is a fine cartridge. Easy and fun to shoot. Problem is, at least as I see it, is that gun manufacturers don’t make them with rifling twist rates that will stabilize much more than a 60-65 grain bullet at longer ranges. As it stands though, that rifle paired with a Federal 55 grain BTHP is a damned fine round and I’ve known guys who have taken big assed deer with that round at ranges in excess of 300-350 yards. Not bad for a .22, eh.

I sometimes wonder if that is what we have come to, fighting to be the last man standing. Have we reached the point where the only thing left to do is survive as long as possible? I have watched over the last couple of decades as our country and society have slowly been circling the drain. As every day passes more and more people are willing to give up their freedoms for the sake of perceived safety. I am continually amazed at how naïve most people have been. It appears that mass psychosis is running rampant in today’s society, how else can the last two years be explained.

Nobody knows what the future will bring but it does not look promising. It cannot be said too often, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Trust only those whom you know well and even so, be careful.

Being unfamiliar with D T man, I duck ducked & found this, written about the author Ivan Throne, by the most prolific writer in history, Anonymous: “Ivan Throne, like Milo, is a sloppily-painted mockery of an intellectual. His hollow writing combines the forced edginess of our cringe-inducing high school days with a knack for hocking commodified anti-PC pornography to Red Pill dopes.”

OK if ASStute Anonymous feels that way about him I like the guy at least a wee bit.

Having said that, obviously he talks too much and too loud and attracts the attention of the wrong people. I suggest, don’t be the D T guy.

    • Vanderleun May 6, 2022, 10:38 AM

I’m not advocating to be the D T Guy — especially the Dark Triad Guy who wrote this, a person I find to be charleton. I am advocating that this “story” is worth reading. That’s all. Accepting what a man writes is not, ipso facto, to admire the man.

Where that is concerned I have determined to take men as I find them.

      • James ONeil May 6, 2022, 1:01 PM

        Yo bro, re your reply; just in case I, as usual, wasn’t clear & you misunderstood my post;
Didn’t think you were, I suspect so too, I understood that, and of course.

        • Vanderleun May 7, 2022, 11:11 AM

It does confirm at least one thing: Pick your friends and don’t talk to anyone who works for the Gubmint. Has he been promoted lately?

This Boomer is enjoying the remaining decades knowing we left you undeserving, impotent, testosterone deprived, worthless oxygen thieves deep in debt, skill-less, lacking the ability to solve even the simplest task a hand tool requires, with no hope of ownership of anything of value, I relish the fact that the last Geriatric will hit the lights on your future on his way out the door… Enjoy your hopeless, debt ridden life.
