[Updated / Bumpedf] Rant0matic: A man in Shasta, Ca, speaks for me– and you– and you — and yes, over there in the corner, you too.

From Consent of the governed – PA

Carlos Picatta: [quote] I wasn’t gonna speak but I was asked to speak here. Sheriff, good to see you. I’m telling you guys, I’m pretty appalled with what’s going on. At first we sat as concerned citizens, we all wanted to figure out how to navigate our way through this whole Covid thing. And as we realized that it’s not quite as dangerous as we thought it’d be, I was absolutely appalled at the cowardice. You’re just sitting there with your masks on. I don’t blame you for wearing masks because I’d be hiding my face too if I were you, for what you’re doing. It’s absolutely horrendous what you’re doing to these people. I’m a business owner and I’m telling you, our families are starving. You guys can sit here with your jobs, you can sit here and you’re getting paid, you can fall asleep in your chair like that gentleman’s doing behind his mask right there. And I’m telling you right now, that right now we’re being peaceful. And you better be happy that we’re good citizens, that we’re peaceful citizens.

But it’s not gonna be peaceful much longer. This isn’t a threat, I am not a criminal, I’ve never been a criminal, but I’m telling you: good citizens are gonna turn into real concerned and revolutionary citizens real soon. And nobody else is gonna say that. I’m probably the only person that has the balls to say what I’m saying right now. That we’re building, we’re organizing, and we’ll work with law enforcement or without law enforcement. But you won’t stop us when time comes because our families are starving.

And if you don’t hear the seriousness in my voice, I hope you open your ears. You absolutely listen to what I’m saying. Because this is a warning. For what’s coming. It’s not gonna be peaceful much longer. It’s not gonna be “rah-rahs,” it’s not gonna be speeches, it’s not gonna be gathering outside saying the Pledge of Allegiance, it’s not gonna be waving flags. It’s gonna be real.

When you’ve seen the things that I’ve seen — I went to war for this country. I’ve seen the ugliest, dirtiest part of humanity. I’ve been in combat. And I never wanna go back again. But I’m telling you what, I will to save this country. If it has to be against our own citizens, it will happen. And there’s a million people like me. And you won’t stop us.

Open the county. Let our citizens do what they need to do. Let owners of businesses do what they need to do to feed their families. Take the masks off. Quit masking and muzzling your children. The psychological damage you’re doing to them is horrible. I’ve had six friends kill themselves since it’s happened. Veterans who lost their jobs. How do you feel about being complicit in perpetuating that. The greatest hoax ever perpetuated on the American people. And you’re part of it while you wear your masks. In Shasta County, we’re supposed to be Red country up here. Not Blue country, we’re Red country up here. [end quote]

The Karens in the comments self-identify. You can’t fix stupid.

  • OneGuy August 21, 2020, 12:58 PM

So, is the DA of SDNY going to indict this guy on some bogus charges? He dared speak up against the tyranny of the left so I would bet that he pays a price. Maybe Newsom will shut of the utilities to his business. Maybe Antifa or BLM (black looters & murders) will pay him a visit. I bet too that every sheriff and policeman in his area has his license plate number clipped to their visor waiting for him to fail to signal a lane change.

The gentleman is not wrong. And while he may be articulating the words out loud, and others may not be, the number of folks thinking just as he does, are in greater numbers than many realize. In heavily surveilled times, as we are, one is often better keeping their cards very close to their chest.

It’s pretty appalling. That the gov’t has demonstrated it’s over the top incompetence for everything involving this virus. It has done everything as much wrong as possible. Not just wrong, but as wrong as possible. And it continues to outdo itself everyday.

And then there is the citizenry that has shown it hasn’t the basic where-with-all to even be alive. 200 years ago at least 80% of the people living today would not survive more than a week at most. These 80 per-centers have proven they are nothing more than bloated daycare inhabitants supervised by obese and incompetent supervisors. There is only one cure for this dilemma and I imagine that cure is not too far off.

  • tim August 21, 2020, 1:38 PM

Let it start with AT LEAST taking off your GD mask!
I get it, some stores require it and you just want to get that bottle of liquor or whatever, but when possible, take it off. Now.
You might be surprised how often nobody says a word. Some people probably want to, or can’t because of their job, or just don’t have the intestinal fortitude to do it, so set the example.

  • M. Murcek August 21, 2020, 1:46 PM

These politicians have no *real* answers. But they will work overtime (if you want to call it work) to make their fake *answers* as bad as possible.

  • Lance de Boyle August 21, 2020, 2:26 PM

If they do what OneGuy fears, that just may be the spark.

5o armed men and women yelling outside the DA’s home? If the cops attack, it will only lead to more resistance.

And if the cops kill any one, it may be Lexington Green all over again.

I don’t think this guy is just talking, and I suspect he knows who and how many are prepared.

“First you bullshit us. Then you isolate us. Then you mask us. Then you order us around. Then you destroy our livelihoods and scare our kids . Then you won’t listen. And now you kill us. Welp, our turn. Tell me what we have to lose?”

Everyone of the places in which the lockdowns have been extended seem to be donkey party strongholds. Yet, it’s Trump’s fault, is their rallying cry. The left is so truly disconnected from reality that they will likely push this to a fight. And when that happens, there should be no quarter given to the commies. This must be finished. Settled and won by team freedom. The communists must be purged.

Lance, if we lose, the world will lose. I believe it is that serious. Bannon today on War Room Pandemic program said this is the most important election of our times. I have to agree.

Kevin sed: “…this is the most important election of our times.”
    ======
They’ve been saying this since the 90’s, and will continue to do so, cause it’s so effective at driving mania.

  • Vanderleun August 21, 2020, 6:08 PM

    Bring on more mania.

The entire eastern area of Cali is redneck country. The northern most part of Cali is also redneck country. I was born and raised in the middle of the gold rush area of Cali. My son still lives in that area. He told me people are planning to take over and open the “mountain counties”.

The pot is close to boiling. The masked officials had best leave. The cops are part of the resistance group. Time to fix bayonets and run the gov bugger-nobs into the Pacific ocean.

California burns while the governor masturbates in his Sacto mansion with a mask hanging from his left ear. Picture that . . .

Members of my mother’s family fought in the Revolutionary War. The message then was very clear: Freedom from tyranny must prevail or our nation will not survive. Once more we as citizens of the USA are at that point. I need to move back to Northern California and help. I am ready, locked and loaded. Remember it is still legal to own a gun and know how to use it. That is one of the many freedoms we must not lose. Love and hugs, a Constitutionalist granny.

The LAST presidential election was the most important election of our lifetime. And we won it. This is the mopping up phase.

Vegas is giving odds of 4 to 1 that he will be shot during a traffic stop because he pointed a finger at the cops and they thought it was a gun. 3 to 1 odds that he commits suicide by stabbing himself in the back 37 times.

  • John The River August 22, 2020, 8:34 AM

We either heard Captain John Parker or Nathan Hale in this mans voice.
This summer may be the last peaceful one in a while, as it was 1918 and 1939.

  • Joe Krill August 22, 2020, 8:43 AM

America is the last remaining beacon of hope for the world. Yes, In America, Life, Liberty and pursuit of Happiness are still the hallmarks of our society. This is what the demoncrats hate the most.

Great speech, but it’s just words. Conservatives have been “all talk” for so long that progressives just laugh this stuff off.

    Yup.

  • Anonymous August 22, 2020, 9:02 AM

Rob De Watt, While your point is well taken you miss what many of the features that make a person a conservative. A conservative favors traditional values and tends to oppose change. They conduct themselves in a moderate, restrained style, all for the betterment of their community and nation. This is in direct contrast to so call “progressives”. Progressives shit on each others plates and still call it dinner.

Comment was made by me, not anonymous, I hit the wrong button.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Patchy fog before 2pm. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 74. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

You don’t have to be a weatherman to see which way the wind is blowing.

Mr. Picatta indeed speaks for me. As did that gent at the Greensboro City Council meeting a couple of years ago, Mark Robinson, presently the R candidate for Lt. Gov. in NC. Alas, men not being angels, politicians will be a despised necessity some while yet, so great speeches must of necessity be followed by the tiresome, degrading drudgery of electing the sane and decent to public office. Decades back I vowed never again to give my hard earned coin to the grift which is American electoral politics, but broke that vow by contributing to his campaign, placing hope before experience that the GOP, that useless and corrupt entity which commenced its existence murdering my forebears and has but little improved in the succeeding sesquicentum, will not manage to bring him too far over toward their way of doin’ bidness.

Great to see almost all the comments in support. This guy is doing great work but we all need to pitch in and do much more. Tyranny will eventually fall. We have way too many patriots here!
