NextLife Wife Update: She brews her own beer. Case closed.

I don’t want to seem obsessive but when the world is as it is these days (and these days the world is on its ass) these videos are my happy place.

    “I don’t want to seem obsessive…”++
No worries. With the lunatics seemingly running the asylum these days, tuning as much of it out as is possible, is the only way to safeguard one’s sanity. I’ve no idea where, or even if, this assault on rationality ends. As for me, I’ll be fine so long as my eyesight holds out and I can read. Television is OFF except to watch a vintage movie (Saw Bogart and Bacall in To Have and Have Not, last night from my personal library. Amazing how great actors, superior writing and directing hold up throughout the decades). So, those are but two avenues I utilize to escape the planned chaos to which we’re being subjected. Discovering what the Buddhist concept of Nirvana is about and the truth that all things must pass.
    BTW: Li is just remarkable.

Based on her initial SG, 1.041, and final specific gravity, roughly 1.00?, her beer was around 4% alcohol by volume.

    She is a sweetheart.

Woah, thanks for sharing, these are like crayfish and beer for the soul, just beautifully done.

As a former all-grain home brewer it was fascinating to see the process, basically the same as I used to do, grinding, mashing, straining out the wort (sparging), cooking the wort, adding hops in two stages (first, for bitterness, later for flavor), fermenting, bottling.

In the interest of all that is delicately feminine and all that is rough cut masculine, I think we need to hook this beautiful lass up with this poor sod (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAL3JXZSzSm8AlZyD3nQdBA) and let nature and lifestyles take their course. I have no doubt she will find him useful around the estate, and even less doubt that he will lose some of his hard edges in the process. As Red Green used to say, “If the women don’t find you handsome, at least let them find you handy”

This bird exists in multiple quantum universes. One moment she’s a mountain-dwelling hanfu-wearing nymph living a timeless authentic lifestyle that’s closer to Marie Antoinette’s shepherdess antics than any I’ve noticed in my (greater than zero, but admittedly limited) dealings with the Chinese peasantry.. the next she’s down in the plains channelling Tiddly Piers Plowman.

I highly recommend CCTV Chanel 15: They do a nice line in big-boobed beauties dressed in qipaos playing soulful stuff on the pipa.

Just to prove that I’m not a total terrible cynic, there’s a Really Good Thing I’ve noticed in China (and indeed most of South-East and East Asia): the innocence of Children. There’s none of that knowingness, snark, and irony that show’s up all too early in Western children and is surely a sign of our cultural sickness and accelerating civilisational decay.

Aggie: Hate to disappoint you, but if your Noble Savage doesn’t hold a Hukou (residence permit) for a Tier 1 City and own a German car and at least two condos, she ain’t putting out.

Hypergamy got baked into female DNA long before the first chopstick emerged from the primal ooze.

I’ve had some disconcerting thoughts about Her since your last post. I think she has several appeals. First, physically she looks almost childlike, tiny and more like an innocent pubescent teen girl than a woman Second, if you believe it all she has the talents and skills of your grandmother. Additionally she shows no wear and tear from what must be long, hard days of work hoeing, planting and cooking. Beautiful feet, unblemished hands, perfect skin, always made up, gorgeous long hair, and pristine clothes.
    Every mans dream wife

I like how she shows off her breeding stock @ 0:33 and 9:28, and new born livestock @ the end.

    Next life wife indeed!

    Insert “Borat” joke here:

Mhm. Sigh. Good production values as always.

Rick – Why is it that the rural lifestyle is viewed by Western city dwellers as dirty? When in fact it DEMANDS cleanliness for survival from the nasties of the country dirt.

Fer instance, the Japanese habit of removing shoes goes back to NOT tracking in field dirt to the house. And the field worker would visit the local onsen to clean up before returning home. Also, the same applies to the custom of washing BEFORE entering the onsen.

You guys do know that these are propaganda videos made by the CCP?

  • Snakepit Kansas August 3, 2019, 7:19 AM

    Jim,
Yes, it is all propaganda. Well staged and wishful. It is still captivating.

Chinese farming is dirty. They use a lot of animal manure, but they also use a lot of human nightsoil. Beautiful tomatoes, for example, but full of germs.

My grandpa saw this on a trip to China, back about twenty years ago. He did backyard farming himself, and was an army cook, and was a great poker of noses into details of people’s food and work.

This put Grandpa off eating any Chinese vegetables during his whole trip, and indeed he and Grandma were the only people in their tour group who did not suffer traveler tummy.
