Other than a few anachronisms, it was great. I think I'd prefer that version of the film.
Posted by: ahem at September 19, 2009 6:36 AMAs a huge Chuck Heston fan, I'm ticked that Paramount won't release this film. I didn't know it existed until this post.

Posted by: mrp at September 19, 2009 7:12 AMUm - you mean, "This is a fake, independent, non-profit trailer?" Is that what's so wrong with this picture? Still - given the choice between Harrison Ford's politics and Charleton Heston's, I prefer the "fake". Also, Heston was one gorgeous hunk of a man! That scene in Ben Hur when he's ascending the stairs to see his healed mother and sister? Oh, man! The raft and chains scene isn't bad either.
Posted by: Western Chauvinist at September 19, 2009 8:14 AMI think I would like to see that film.
Posted by: Mikey NTH at September 19, 2009 1:06 PMI'd like to see Jimmy Stewart as "Forrest Gump" and Bob Hope in the 1954 version of "Ghostbusters".
Posted by: rickl at September 20, 2009 8:56 AMHey, I know! How about Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland in the 1938 version of "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"?

With Rooney as Spicoli? Leo Gorsey ("Gashouse Gang/Bowery Boys") would be better.
Posted by: Roderick Reilly at September 21, 2009 1:13 PMWhat's wrong? Peter Lorre as a gunsel. Don't you realize that it unacceptable to stigmatize homosexuals as psychotic killers?
