Democrats may have a fleet of women politicians, but they don’t have a deep bench of attractive ones. You don’t even think of most Democratic woman as women: Rosa Delauro, Nita Lowey, Patty Murray, Janet Napolitano -- and the list goes on. Oh, sure, there are the odd female Democrat sex kittens -- your Janet Renos, your Donna Shalalas -- but they're the exception to the rule.

  • Because "Ebony" and "Ivory" were taken: "Barack Obama — codenamed Renegade — and Michelle Obama — codenamed Renaissance — accepted the [Secret Service] codenames they were given." --Newsmax.com - Washington Post Becomes a Fair Newspaper

  • REQUIRED LISTENING: Shirley Temple, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.

  • French Tickler Screws the New York Times. [If Times publisher Pinch Sulzberger wasn't so over-used, he would have felt it.]

  • Adventures in the skin trade @ Jaded Haven.
"Irony ran rich in Houston back in the late seventies. I could drink myself under the table at most nightclubs in town and out earn a school teacher in one easy weekend, but I couldn't register for school or rent an apartment without an adult signature. I wasn't allowed to work at respectable McDonalds or Macy's, thank goodness, but I could strip in outlaw nightclubs. "

And every year in which no down payments or reforms are made to these obligations, the total grows by $2 trillion to $3 trillion – or $6,600 to $10,000 per person – on autopilot."

  • Good question: “Why would I put anything on the Web?” asked Dan Jacobson, the publisher and owner of TriCityNews.... There are six columnists in addition to the full-time staff, and they write with a mix of attitude and reporting that Mr. Jacobson describes as a “plog,” a blog on paper. -The Media Equation - A New Jersey Newspaper Shuns the Web, and Thrives

  • Power Line - Swedish "Youths" Riot "Those European "youths" are at it again, this time in Sweden. That's how the BBC identifies them: "Swedish city hit by youth riots." [Well, as long as we're now all clear on the fact that "youths" means "Muslim Assholes" what's the problem?]

  • Oprah Porn According to Slate Magazine "About half the Oprah-watching mothers either leaked milk into nursing pads or nursed their babies following the viewing...."

  • Darwinism in action: "Man has evolved so as not to believe in Darwinism. Those who believe anyway are imploding demographically, demonstrating at least a Darwinian unfittedness of survival. Those who find Darwinism comical are thriving." -- BrothersJudd

Enjoy the Space Shuttle while you can: The fleet is well past it's lifespan and there is no follow-on.

There is no follow-on to the Space Shuttle. There won't be one during Obama's term(s). He has already signalled that he will cut NASA.
