Six thousand years ago, a mother and two children died at the same time and were buried here holding hands. Someone obviously cared a great deal, as the scientist found that flowers were placed above and below the bodies. It is not yet known how they died. - Green Sahara - The Big Picture -

I just can't help it; I look at that last photo, and think "it's the anti-monolith."

I'm glad to see you referencing Randal O'Toole's work. His book _The Vanishing Automobile and Other Urban Myths_ is excellent on all the nonsense surrounding "smart growth", urban planning, and mass transit spending; definitely a speed bump for smart growth.
