Since 2010 is to be the inaugural year of full-blown bat shit up to the neck institutionalized insanity, I thought I would share some of it here with you, Gerard:

While watching the local weather report (The Weather Channel, what else.) A jaw-dropping report on how to combat global warming came on, and I kid thee not, their idea of containing global warming is to block sunlight by all means possible...including shooting parasols into outer space to block the suns rays.

Does anyone in the media even hear what is being said in the name of science?

It all reminds me of the very last chapter of "That Hideous Strength" by CS Lewis.

All the great minds of academia are gathered, in the name of science and improving humanity, they have gathered together in the halls of some great university to discuss blowing up the moon. They discuss this with seriousness and fervor and speak in a language so incomprehensible and devoid of meaning that in the end, they become as snarling beasts and chattering chimpanzees. Like watching the Tower of Babel, once more, but instead, God has taken away the last vestiges of language altogether, instead of merely confusing their speech.

I wonder how long it will take for that to finally happen.

It has already happened. I am a retired academic and I saw the process of language loss begin in the late 1980s. Academics in the hard physical and biological sciences still have coherent, intelligible languages. But academics in the fields of humanities now based on post-modernism and almost all academics in the field of teacher education use a babble that is a mockery of reason and logic.

Hi folks,

This is Carbon Unit NAM845106793 (DNA Seq: AATTGCCTAAATTAATTA). Just wanted you to know I've jumped to the other side and wanted you to know how great things are. Please stop pestering Rev. Al Gore with silly questions. I mean, do you really think he has time? I'm just so glad he turned around the earth while there was still time. Oh, and as far as President Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, I now believe he should have received it when he was an Illinois State Senator and trying to stop the invasion of Iraq.

Also, we are monitoring every breath you are taking and your taxes on those breaths are adding up quickly. Please consider turning yourself into the nearest Soylent Green processing plant ASAP so that your offspring won't be held liable.

What a brave new world it is going to be!!!
