After the Pentagon presser on the rescue I posted a summary of Vice Adm. Gortney's explanation; click here.

You rejoice too soon. As we write there are hordes American lawyers hot-footing it to Somalia to offer to represent the survivor and the families of the poor innocent fisher-folk wrongfully and maliciously shot by the SEALs.

Someone best tell the SEALs not to stand down but rather to keep on the look-out for blue suited pirates with brief-cases. Shoot on sight.

Awesome news...go SEALs!

Also a hat tip to President Obama...it takes a lot of courage to do what 99.99937 percent of the country wants you to.

There were many Americans that didn't want to see the US use it's sea power to rescue the ship and Captain - especially by seriously violating the human rights of the ones holding Captain Phillips hostage. After all, they are just poor, helpless and economically dispossessed guys with AK-47s.

Cathy (above) is right on.... The international human rights lawyers will make a scene over this.

The Maersk shipping line has a lot of US Defense Department contracts, that's why the cargo was on a more-expensive US-flagged ship.

The cargo was going to Kenya, where the US is "intervening" to institute reforms. The current Prime Minister claims to be Obama's cousin. Obama's family is from Kenya and they are from the same tribe.

Was the cargo military or was it foreign aid? Almost nothing else goes by US-flagged ship anymore.

Was the piracy a coincidence or an attempt to forstall a US coup in Kenya? Is Obama's family involved?

Too much of a conspiracy for this pilgrim.
