Google News Family Values

I KNOW THAT GOOGLE NEWS IS SUPPOSED TO BE RUN BY A ROBOT, but am I alone in suspecting it is a really, really stupid robot?
Let's see. From this I am supposed to think that the Hockey Season That Wasn't is more important than the India-Pakistan War That Wasn't?

Given that Google is famous for hiring very bright people, maybe it could assign an entry level janitor to empty the drool cup of its news robot from time to time.

I checked several web sites today about the NHL cancelling their season. I didn't look at any regarding any averted Indo-Pak wars. I guess I should have used Google, thanks for the tip.

Odds are they're following the standard model for news: domestic/cultural/personality first, anything outside the U.S. (and anything in the U.S. that reflects well on the center & right end of the political spectrum) second.

Don't mock my mourning.

(Yes, I know that India and Pakistan avoiding war is several orders of magnitude higher in the Cosmic Scheme Of Things, but I'm still mourning.)

Before you condemn poor Bot, are you positively sure you didn't just accidentally google season tickets?

India and Pakistan are always avoiding a war. This is the first time the NHL has cancelled its season.
