Beautiful. The same crew was spinning Idaho fair-goers a couple weeks back.

As I was enjoying the photo, I couldn't help but wonder how many of the elites who run this country have ever been to a state or county fair? And if they had to go for political reasons to mingle with hoi polloi, if they could lower themselves to take simple delight in the pig races?

Man, does that bring back some memories. It's been a long time since I've done the Puyallup. Thanks.

I'll be doing that later this month. Have to get me some fair foods. Don't know about y'all, I crave me some Unidentified Fried Objects. :)

Great picture, but a small caveat. The Western Washington Fair in Puyallup is not a state run fair. It's a privately run fair. This year is its 109th run.

The Evergreen State Fair held up in Monroe, Washington, is an official state fair.

Unidentified Fried Objects.... done. I'm updating the post.

Great photos.
I live on the other side of the state. Sometimes we get new TV newscasters who have no idea how to pronounce the local names. I just about fell out of my chair when a newby read a story about Poolie-oop!

These are great photos! I'm wondering if whoever took them would be willing to let us use them in promotions and marketing? If so, email me at amy@thefair.com.
