This precious memory from today's local Christmas Kick-Off Party cries out for a caption.

The bearded one is thinking along these lines: "Someone bring me a chainsaw; I need a lobotomy!"

Al Gore dressed as Santa brings tidings of comfort and joy:

"There, there, now. After the polar bears have drowned, we'll still have a few moose wandering the scorched tundra."

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas, worst time of the year!

Makes more sense to stay at home and drink a lot of beer!

Ah - the traditional first picture with Santa. I think every kid in North America (and perhaps elsewhere) has gone through that.

In my first picture with Santa I wasn't bawling, but I was giving him a look that said "I don't know about you, old man. Just don't try anything funny, hey?"

Sort of like the first picture I had with my little brother - wasn't too sure about this one. Matt's look was incredibally cross-eyed, like he had been hit on the head and insisted that he was 'as juxtapositioned as a bicycle cream cone'*.

*Kowalski from the Madagascar Penguins, IIRC.
