I knew a guy who told me that one night in Viet Nam, he awoke in mid-air just before he hit the floor and rolled under his bunk. Then he heard in incoming mortar round. Ears don't shut off, as the narrator says.

It is a shame that fear is a much abused emotion by the 'tough guys'.
