China: U.S. Spends Too Much on Military
The chief of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army, Chen Bingde, told reporters that he thought the U.S. should cut back on defense spending for the sake of its taxpayers.... "If the U.S. could reduce its military spending a bit and spend more on improving the livelihood of the American people ... wouldn't that be a better scenario?"Why yes, honorable general, that scenario would be better for both our sponges here and your military in China. A win-win for both socialist regimes I'd say. If I remember correctly a similar sort of lullaby scenario worked very well for the Japanese in the 1930s... right up until December 7th, 1941 when we woke up. After that things went..... well... sideways, and then into the fire.
"You really don't need to lock the door to the henhouse you know" said the fox to the farmer.
Posted by: Tom at July 13, 2011 3:51 AMThe Obama Pawns think this is marvelous. You'll hear the presentation soonest during the deficit reduction battle as part of the $2 trillion spending cuts. All in good faith as you know.
Posted by: Peccable at July 13, 2011 4:34 AMCould it be that China is setting itself up to be Nazi Germany to our Stalinist Russia?
Posted by: St. Thor at July 13, 2011 6:44 AMHearing this from the Chinese must've brought tears of joy to Chairman ObaMao's eyes.
Posted by: Will Profit at July 13, 2011 6:51 AMLet's see now. The Chinese are asking America to cut military expenditures. The UN tried to tell Texas not to execute that POS because he did not get counseling under international justice, and now the President is holding Social Security benefits, disability and VA benefits hostage.
Oh what a great world we live in. Are we still living in the USA?
Posted by: Cilla Mitchell, Galveston Texas at July 13, 2011 10:16 AMFeeling cheap, I recently bought some Chinese-made sand paper at a Dollar Store. The sandpaper disintegrated on my power sander in 10 seconds. I thought, would you want to be a Chinese sailor on a Chinese-made submarine?
Posted by: Chris G at July 13, 2011 12:48 PMAs far as Chink subs go, they have a bunch of electric boats; these are the pre-nuke type and they are very quiet. Ask any submariner.
