The Genius Of The Crowd

The Genius Of The Crowd Poem by Charles Bukowski

there is enough treachery, hatred violence absurdity in the average
human being to supply any given army on any given day

and the best at murder are those who preach against it
and the best at hate are those who preach love
and the best at war finally are those who preach peace

those who preach god, need god
those who preach peace do not have peace
those who preach peace do not have love

beware the preachers
beware the knowers
beware those who are always reading books
beware those who either detest poverty
or are proud of it
beware those quick to praise
for they need praise in return
beware those who are quick to censor
they are afraid of what they do not know
beware those who seek constant crowds for
they are nothing alone
beware the average man the average woman
beware their love, their love is average
seeks average

but there is genius in their hatred
there is enough genius in their hatred to kill you
to kill anybody
not wanting solitude
not understanding solitude
they will attempt to destroy anything
that differs from their own
not being able to create art
they will not understand art
they will consider their failure as creators
only as a failure of the world
not being able to love fully
they will believe your love incomplete
and then they will hate you
and their hatred will be perfect

like a shining diamond
like a knife
like a mountain
like a tiger
like hemlock

their finest art

Mr. Bukowski seems to relish preaching a lot himself.

Divide and conquer.

Sun Tzu, Clausewitz, Machiavelli.

I think there is an element of agents provocateur going on. The background is set from Civil War forward. Enough prejudice to make us feel guilty.
More and more the Blacks are demanding and seizing immunity from riots, killings, etc.
Non-Blacks are being goaded to react with a massive armed resistance complete with shoot to kill mandated for any Blacks, good and decent or not.
At that time SHAZZAM, martial law and crackdown on Whites, firearms, all the redoubts, any militants that are foolish enough to stand and fight.
"They let the coons loot and riot and burn, so can we". Oh no no no. All of a sudden police and military will move in.

Ferguson would never happen if it was White folks instead of Blacks running around like that.

Lived the Bukowski lifestyle off and on for many years. Just seemed like the thing to do. Then I learned that a Chinaski actually existed. Wow. Then they made a movie about it, and I thought, well, there ya go. Later, I understood why he was lionized, and we see that bearing fruit now. I no longer visit the temples, and the clarity brings no comforts, but I still have my copy of Post Office to remind me.

"Divide and conquer. Sun Tzu, Clausewitz, Machiavelli."

Salami Tactics is the modern Socio-political-Warfare version of Divide and Conquer created by Hungarian Orthodox Communist Leader Mátyás Rákosi back in the 1940's:

"Salami tactics, also known as the salami-slice strategy, is a divide and conquer process of threats and alliances used to overcome opposition. With it, an aggressor can influence and eventually dominate a landscape, typically political, piece by piece. In this fashion, the opposition is eliminated "slice by slice" until one realizes (too late) that it is gone in its entirety. In some cases it includes the creation of several factions within the opposing political party and then dismantling that party from the inside, without causing the "sliced" sides to protest.

*****Salami tactics are most likely to succeed when the perpetrators keep their true long-term motives hidden and maintain a posture of cooperativeness and helpfulness while engaged in the intended gradual subversion.*****

Gee... who was that Hungarian Financier - and former Nazi - who financed the Ferguson Riots again?

Oh, yea... George Soros.
