I'm demented. I love shoveling snow. Lots and lots of snow - into deep amazing piles along the driveway.
I try not to feel resentment when my well-intentioned neighbor Ed comes roaring across the street with his 10 megaton snow blower.
I smile and give him a thumbs up and thank God he can't hear me mumbling my ingratitude as that dang machine blows the snow evenly across the yard. They'll be no Everest mounds to admire from the window, feeling something like a farmer's satisfaction at the end of a day of harvesting.
