Here's a sample from today's Questions in the blogosphere
Q: Why don't we hear any more gnashing of teeth about the government not funding Embryonic Stem Cell Research?Works for me. Posted by Vanderleun at April 22, 2008 1:58 PM | TrackBackA: Because ADULT Stem Cells are proving to be wildly promising and successful - so much so that the dismal and nightmarish failures of Embryonic SCR are going to simply be allowed to fade away from memory. Here is a simple rule to remember: once a bat is no longer useful for pounding on W, it is summarily retired and not heard from again.
What always grates me is the media and lefty insistence that "conservatives" oppose "stem cell research." They make no distinction between the two types of stem cell research, the adult kind of which conservatives support. This is the same crowd that insists that people who have issues with illegal immigration are "anti-immmigration."

Posted by: Sam Boogliodemus at April 22, 2008 6:53 PMI sometimes enjoy blowing such people's minds by saying, "What do you mean? Bush was the first president in US history to commit the federal government to supporting stem-cell research." (This works best if you plaster an innocent expression to your face first.) The sputtering can be memorable.
