"Therefore Choose Life"

This November: This is just one of the many reasons why the Catholic Church continues to receive my respect.

“Beloved, there is now set before us life and death, good and evil,” in that we are commanded this day to love the Lord our God, and to love one another, to walk in his ways and to keep his Commandments and his ordinance and his laws, and the articles of our Covenant with Him, that we may live and be multiplied, and that the Lord our God may bless us in the land whither we go to possess it. But if our hearts shall turn away, so that we will not obey, but shall be seduced, and worship other Gods, our pleasure and profits, and serve them; it is propounded unto us this day, we shall surely perish out of the good land whither we pass over this vast sea to possess it.

Therefore let us choose life,
That we and our seed may live,
By obeying His voice and cleaving to Him,
For He is our life and our prosperity.

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

And when we turn our backs on the suffering of little ones, when we deny their intrinsic value, when we allow their worth to be defined by arbitrary standards of perfection or enjoyment of life, when we allow anyone, even parents, to decide if a child should live or die, then we mock life and the God who gives it.

What a great video. May hearts, minds and votes be changed by it!

That was absolutely beautiful, right up until the end when the voting box showed a DEMOCRATIC Ballot!

As a Southern Baptist I was very moved by this video. I appreciate that the Roman Catholic Church may be doing more to preserve the civilization we take for granted than any organization other than the US military. Long live Pope Benedict.

"Therefore Choose Life". That scripture (Deut. 30) has been the epigraph for my weblog for years.

Yes, choose life and save the little ones. Raise them to be good Catholics. Then let them be molested repeatedly by the sickest men on the planet. Old white male priests. Yes. Respect the Catholic Church.

Ah. If you really want your kids molested, move to California and enroll them in public school. (What? You don't know what I'm talking about? Gee, I wonder why.)

Posted by: ELC at September 25, 2008 2:50 PM

WOW!
Molested by old men.... someone is not well read!!! Just read the MSM for all the news that is unfit to print... research, research, research... things in the RCC were hijacked by a liberal attitude before our country succumbed to liberalism and gave us the Catholic church scandal. It has been a horror for doctrinaire Catholics!!!

Posted by: stevel at September 25, 2008 4:51 PM

Wow indeed. You blame liberals for the Catholic church molestation scandal? Really?
See that's why this website has become my guilty pleasure. You people are so fucked up and skewed, that you literally make no sense.
That and Gerard is such a dinosaur and will be eating a lot of crow in November. :)

ELC said: "Ah. If you really want your kids molested, move to California and enroll them in public school. "
So lets really take a look at this statement. You are saying that because there were cases of molestation at California public schools, the Catholic Church is exonerated? Because Molestation happened somewhere else, then the Catholic church is not responsible for its own crimes?
Or are you just giving advice to someone who really wants their children molested?

"Old white male priests." (quoth "vanderoldman"; emphasis added.)

Why do Leftists, time and again, prove themselves utterly incapable of refraining from dragging the race issue into every argument of theirs?
