Thanks Gerard.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it's still a beautiful world.

I actually teared up a little.

That's not supposed to happen, I'm a jaded curmudgeon with a soul dipped in novacaine.

Maybe there are still warm bright spots left in this cold dark place.

Too adorable for words, G. Great find.

You'd need a lot of novacaine, Mumblix, to not be melted by that cutie. Even Simon liked her!

Oh, yes! Last year's "Britain's Got Talent" had some wonderful performers! Thank God for YouTube and the kind people that record and post those clips there, or this American wouldn't have been able to see any of it.

I've got links to my BGT favorites and the finals here:

You people need to turn off the damn tube and get out of the house. It's a commercial for Simon Cowell, first and foremost, and then his show. Yes, that little girl can sing beautifully, but there are thousands with her range.

This would have been really great with zero adults on camera.

She is awesome. More to see on her own site at http://www.connietalbot.com/

There is some hope - there really is. Non illegitimi carborundum, Connie!

I just stepped outside, and those thousands of little girls with her range were not there. I did catch a glimpse of Scott's cynicism rising to blot out the sun, so I came back in.
