Ps.19
The heavens speak of the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge.
There is no speech, there are no words; their voice is not heard;
Yet their voice goes out through all the world, and their words to the end of the earth.
In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes forth like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and like an athlete runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and there is nothing hid from its heat.

Fat man That Was Psalm 19: 1-6 The next verse is key; 19-7 " The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy making the wise simple". We have to hold to our faith, in the end it's all we have. I am hoping that the Son will blow a gasket, soon. Or get out the guns. Hi Mr. V.

Geoff C.'s comment put me in mind of the title-- and content-- of Bach's cantata from 1725, "Gott der Herr ist Sonn und Schild" [God the Lord is Sun and Shield]. Here it is, performed by the choir and musicians of Bach's church in Leipzig-- a quarter-hour of grace and truth sorely needed in an increasingly soulless world.

And thanks again to Gerard for posting the sun video.

"If God Was Not God, the Sun Would Be God"

And yet we are terrorised by people who worship the Moon, which merely reflects the light of the Sun, people who slaughter innocents as if there we no God, whose hearts are filled with unending darkness.
