With Friends Like These Who Needs Enemas?

Weinergate: Barbara Walters Loses Reporter Cred In passing while finally touching the Weiner story, the Anchoress has a universal observation:

This is the problem with the mainstream media in a nutshell. They “know” the people they’re supposed to be covering, and they consider themselves “friends” of those people. And it has ruined them. As you listen to Walters, all you see is passionate advocacy; not a newswoman concerned with the truth of a story, but a partisan doing everything she can to divert attention from a story she doesn’t like — even to comparing a private citizen on a bus to a sitting congressman having some sort of cyber-engagement in his office — and championing her “friend.”

"It is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood." -- Karl Popper N.B.: Comments are moderated and may not appear immediately. Comments that exceed the obscenity or stupidity limits will be either edited or expunged.

Anyone still watching Lamestream Media, after all they have done, deserves to be lied to, confused, misled, and enslaved.

How many examples will it take before a reasonable person could reach a conclusion? That conclusion, for the slowpokes, is the media has volunteered to help enslave the rest of us. Just like the ACLU, NOW, PETA, DNC, NRDC, et al. They have the same viewpoint, they have the same goal, they just use a different script and different tools to arrive at the same end.

Do you know why these groups constantly contradict themselves and wail about the speck in your eye while ignoring the mote in their eye? It's because non-liberals are the ones that assume there is some principle being enacted and the daily demands of these groups give evidence what that principle might be.

Once we can detect the principle then we can get on about the business of everyday life without accidentally triggering a shit storm from the most aggrieved member of the Politburo. The only problem is there is no principle other than you submit and they win.

NOW will persecute innocent women, PETA will hold a BBQ, Common Cause will ignore or demand whatever gives the commie-libs an advantage at the moment. After that moment has passed all of the commie-libs will change the rules to seek advantage the next day and nobody but the people still wishing we lived in Mayberry worry that tomorrown and yesterday's positions are mutually exclusive.

Stop reserving your favorite relative, neighbor, co-worker from their guilt in this enslavement. Your nice friends that just happen to be Liberals, are happy to stand by and persecute innocent people, or indict innocent people, or sentence innocent people to misery, so long as they feel good.

That's nobody worth having in your life.

If you can't speak plainly to your Liberal friend and the facts, you do collect the facts on your side don't you, don't change his mind that's no Liberal friend that's a commie-lib helping push this country over the cliff.

The truth ain't pretty, but it's our only hope. 70 plus years of commie-lib consequences haven't made a dent in the minds of the commie-libs, the facts are to be hidden not embraced. That's why they favor "nuance" and "sophisticated" arguments, it's their tool to ignore the facts.

The gov't might be less corrupt if the media was less horrific.
They are partners in crime, and I do mean Crime, you know the real kind.

It has been very will understood for generations that "journalism" is a haven for people who wish to flatter their intellectual masters and control ideas, not report them. Von Hayek wrote, "The real bearers of constructivist rationalism and socialism tend to be the so-called intellectuals that are second-hand dealers in ideas: teachers, journalist and media representatives who, having absorbed rumors in the corridors of science, appoint themselves as representatives of modern thought."

Walters, interviewing Weiner: If you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
Weiner: Wood.

Oh goody! Another variation on a theme by Percy Bysshe Shelley, by Iowahawk:

Weinermandius

I read a hyperlink from a Twitter sage
Who said: "A vast and trunkless dick of stone
Stands in an archive. Near it on the page,
Half sunk, a shattered screencap lies, whose tone
And wrinkled pecs and leer of middle age
Tell that its subject kept that poontang rapt
Who yet discuss, in coed Facebook throngs,
The man who chased them and his hand that fapped.
And on the EXIF these words appear:
`My name is Weinermandius, Dong of Dongs:
Look on my junk, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal bulge, manscaped and bare,
The lonely intertubes stretch far away."
